Auggie and Rosie eat their big chocolate easter eggs that have marshmallow chickies inside.

Here's a good sample of the energy level we deal with around here all the time.

Easter Egg Hunt

Again this year we went to the egg hunt at the Montlake community center, though it was a cold and rainy Easter day.

Here we are, all raingeared-up while waiting in the gym for the events to get underway. In this photo you can get a pretty good look at the big welt under August's eye. He smacked it on his bedrail while horsing around two nights before, and it swelled up pretty good.

Auggie did much better than last year at picking up eggs. After an initial moment of being overwhelmed about which direction he should start off in, he really got down to business and filled his whole basket in just a few minutes.

Rose, on the other hand, was content to pick up each egg and then carefully
examine it and show it to Mommy before finally putting it in her basket. As a result, when the frenzy of egg-grabbing cleared, she still only had about a quarter of her basket filled.

Some of the plastic eggs had a prize ticket inside them, which meant you could choose something from the special table of goodies. Rose got this cute little umbrella, while Auggie passed over the more exotic prizes to choose this simple little basketball.

Twins Party

Becky's old twins & moms group had a reunion/third birthday party recently at the Children's Museum (most of the twins in the group turn 3 this month). 12 pairs of twins + accompanying parents (and one older sister) made for quite a group, as you can see. [In the first picture, Auggie is at bottom right, and Rosie is at top left, just in front of the man with the camera.]

Obviously, the kids really enjoyed the fancy cupcakes.

Rose, who's a habitually pokey eater, was the very last child to finish her cupcake and get up from the table.

August "reads"

Still not much to post here on the blog. The weather has been lousy and we've been staying home more than usual to facilitate potty training. We did get a few shots for you all on some recent outing around town. Here
is Rosie checking out a book at Barnes and Noble the character of one of her books at home, Elmer. You can't tell from this picture but she was reading to us just like the librarian at story time. The twins tried out one of the race cars at the Family Fun Center in Tukwila one cold and dry afternoon. We ended up heading over to the play area at South Center mall instead. It gets a little crazy there, but the new play area is really great.
