In the sagebrush desert east of the mountains. He was promised a trip to the "desert" as a reward once he was truly pottytrained. Unfortunately, our desert is pretty boring compared to the southwest deserts he'd seen on nature videos, and we didn't hike for very long.

Auggie's Swimming Lessons

August started taking swimming lessons at the local YMCA a few weeks ago. (Rose could have taken them too but failed to complete what we asked of them to earn it. Maybe in the winter...) In the past he's often been rather scared of getting into swimming pools, but he absolutely loves this swimming class!
They mostly work on getting them comfortable with being in the water and trying to float and paddle a little. He's been very enthusiastic and is always ready to volunteer to go first!

Rosie Helps Wake Auggie

Rose is usually an early riser (much to our chagrin on weekends), while August is often difficult to rouse in the morning. He'll sleep on until 9:00am and later some mornings, if you'll let him.
