Pennsylvania Trip pt 2

We were glad to get the chance to swim on our trip, as the Northwest is not known for it's hot swimming weather.

We also went over to "Dutch Wonderland" a kiddie amusement park over near Lancaster.

Here's their mascot Duke the Dragon--not sure what exactly is "Pennsylvania Dutch" about him.

Pennsylvania Trip pt 1

In early August we went to Pennsylvania to visit Becky's family for a week. Had a great time!

Here's the four grandkids (Auggie, Rose, Jared, and Logan) all in Grandma Gloria's bed listening to Grandma read a bedtime story on the night we arrived. Logan and Jared stayed over for the night--though, thankfully, not everyone slept in that one bed!

On Monday we loaded up and drove to the Lake Tobias Wildlife Park and zoo where they have lots of exotic animals from around the world. The highlight is the Safari Tour--a large open range area where buffaloes, emus, elk, llamas, and lots of other herbivores roam freely and guests are toured around in open-top buses to get a close look at them.
