Last Day of January

It's the day before the Superbowl, and in honor of the hysteria that is running amok here over the Seahawks return to the championship game again, we tracked down some "Beast Mode" sausages to grill tomorrow.  Specially made in honor of Marshawn Lynch, who goes Beast Mode on the field when he runs, they contain Skittles candies, which he loves.  We'll see how they are tomorrow...

While we were out that way, we also decided to stop in at a brand new petting zoo.  Despite their advanced age, the twins really enjoyed it--maybe more than they did when they were little.  We stayed 45 minutes and they still didn't want to leave.

This last beastie (below) is a Mara, which is a huge rodent from South America.  They also had Wallabies, a baby Kangaroo, and two miniature Yaks, in addition to the more usual petting zoo animals.
