Long time, no posting

It's been a really long time since our last post. It's not that we lost our camera or that we moved the website or, regrettably, that we've been away on a fabulous vacation. It's just that life has gotten in the way recently. Rob's been busy working and heading up our efforts at finding childcare for the twins in the fall. Becky's been studying a lot and training for the Danskin Triathlon. And the weather has been lousy - rainy, cold...we just haven't been getting out and about to fun places. So we've been home hangin' out, looking at books, watching too much PBS and waiting for days like today when the sun finally returned. Here are some pics from the last 10 days.
Our boy has developed quite the enthusiasm for that American-kid classic, peanut butter and jelly. Here he is on a day when I forgot to get a bib on him and he totally dug into the PB&J.
Rose demonstrates our post-peanut butter wash up routine. Both kids love washing up at the sink and scrub and scrub and scrub. I would have liked to get a photo of August at the sink too, but he gets pretty wild with the soap and water and needs a full time spotter.
Here are the kids, bored with another episode of "Arthur" and hoping the sun will just come back out. (Check out the T-shirts, Logan and Jared!) Since this photo, one of our little monkeys has hidden the remote to the TV and we've been looking for it for days. They also made off with mommy's keys but we found those inside their play dragon.
Here's Rose with Frenchie-the-cat at the home of our friends Rupert and Dana. We visited them for the rained out Lakefair in Olympia and the cat was the biggest hit of the day.

In other twin news, August and Rose have become unbelievable climbers and there's a whole new dimension to baby-proofing for them. I frequently discover one of them wildly rocking while standing on the rocking-chair. And yesterday I followed August's whimpers to find him stuck, feet in the air after he climbed into the toybox head first and couldn't get back out. They're pretty busy, but so much fun.
